Manipur bags runner up in 2nd National School Games 2017

Manipur young boys and girls bag runner up title at the 2nd National School Games 2017 whih was held at Shri Ganga Nagar, Rajasthan.

Young players from 7 states participated in the games which had 4 events – taekwondo, karate do, judo and football.

Manipur players became winners in Boys’ U 17 and Boys’ U 19 football finals, while runner in Boys’ U 13 football. Manipur once again proved its might in taekwondo as it became team champion in the discipline winning 12 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze medals respectively.

In judo, Manipur bagged 4 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze medals respectively.

The overall champion of the games went to host Rajasthan while Manipur and Haryana bagged 1st runner up and 2nd runner up titles respectively.

The games was held under the aegis of School Games Association India.
