Maisnam Meiraba Luwang made India proud by winning gold medal in boys’ under 15 singles title at the Swiss Junior Open 2015 which was held under the aegis of WBF (World Badminton Federation). He beat Roy Easton of Great Britain in the final in straight sets by 21/17 and 21/17 points. In semi final, Meiraba Luwang defeated Marco Wunderli of Switzerland by 21/11 and 21/11points. In quarter final he defeated James Penver of Great Britain by 21/16 and 21/11 points.

The international shuttler won bronze medal in boys’ under 15 doubles event too. He won the bronze medal partnering Rafael Gavois of France.
The tournament was held from September 24 to 27, 2015 at Geneva, Switzerland. Junior players of 28 countries from all over world including from Asia participated in the tournament.
