Kshetrimayum Bhakta Kumar wins Mr India 2017, Leima Chanu bags runner up title

Kshetrimayum Bhakta Kumar has won Mr India in the 57th Senior Mister India Senior National Bodybuilding Championship 2017 which was held at Ahmedabad, Gujarat from 21 to 23 April 2017 organised by Gujarat Bodybuilding and Fitness Association under the aegis of Indian Bodybuilding & Fitness Federation (IBBFF). The former bodybuilder of the Services won the title in men’s 80kg category. He also won ‘Most Improved Bodybuilder’ award in the championship. It may be mentioned that the 48 years old bodybuilder from Khurai Konsam Leikai won Mr India title in 2007 as well. With this win, he will represent India at the upcoming Amateur Olympia 2017 which will be held at Mumbai from October 13 to 15.

On the other hand Thangjam Leima Chanu won silver medal at the 12th 12th Women’s National Bodybuilding Championship 2017 which was held at the same venue and organised by the same association, The former powerlifter, daughter of Th Ibopishak and Th ongbi Rashi Leima from Irilbung Kalika won bronze medal at the 50th Asian Bodybuilding Championships 2016, Bhutan.
