Kongbrailatpam Rebita initially joined bodybuilding to beat opponents in wushu!

Indian woman bodybuilder Kongbrailatpam Rebita was a wushu champion, joined bodybuilding to beat opponents in wushu fights! She is a multi games player!

“I was a wushu player and won several medals. I shifted to bodybuilding to improve my body and make myself strong. In my wushu semi final fight in 3rd Asian Indoor Games 2009, i found my opponent Chinese fighter very strong and well built. She did not look well built at first as she was wearing jacket before the fight but when she opened her jacket and came up to the fight arena, she was just amazing! Having backgrounds in boxing and taekwondo, i was not afraid of her. Not at all! But my attacks could not penetrate her defence. It is not that i did not fight well, but she was too strong and well built. She had a muscular body and was stronger than me in physical challenge. I lost to her and she finally won gold medal and i had to settle for bronze medal in the games. After that i thought a lot and wanted to fight her again.”

Then my gym instructor was stunned to see my muscular body which improved in quick time and inspired me to concentrate on my new sport.
