Two Indian women bodybuilders made India proud by winning silver and bronze medals at the ongoing 51st Asian Body Building & Physique Sports Championship 2017 in South Korea on Wednesday. While one is a budding woman bodybuilder from West Bengal another one is a mother of two from Manipur. Although top spot of the women’s 52kg category went to Dinh Kim Loan from Vietnam, the 2nd, 3rd and 5th positions went to all Indian women with Adwani Kanchi being the 5th position holder.

Europa Bhowmik who is touted as the most beautiful Indian woman bodybuilder won silver medal in the competition. The young bodybuilder won her first ever medal for the country in international arena.
The beautiful and muscular lady from West Bengal became the youngest woman bodybuilder in the country to win a medal at the national championship when she won a bronze medal in National Bodybuilding Championships 2016. She also won bronze medal at the Senior National Women’s Bodybuilding Championships 2017 held at Gurgaon in Haryana.

Also represented India at the same category was Manipur’s Thingbaijam Sarita. Sarita who has been a regular medallist for India in major international championships did not disappoint the fans. Although she could not win a gold or silver medal in the championship, she could make India proud by bagging a bronze medal. Earlier, she won silver medals in 49th Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Championship 2015 held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and 50th Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Championship 2015 held in Bhutan.
