Eleven Manipuri bodybuilders are representing India in World Bodybuilding Championships 2016

Eleven bodybuilders from Manipur are representing India at the 8th WBPF World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championships in Pattaya City, Thailand from 29th November to 5th December 2016.

In the championships, 7 male bodybuilders and 4 female bodybuildersare participating in different weight categories.

In men’s categories, Arambam Bobby, Irom Roshi, Khuraijam Pritam, Ningthoujam Suraj, Sougrakpam Bungcha, Rakesh Nepram and Washmir Epham will compete.

In women’s categories, Thingbaijam Sarita, Mamota Yumnam, Kongbrailatpam Rebita and Thangjam Leima Chanu will compete.

Four times world champion Arambam Bobby will be aiming for his 5th world title, while former medalists Thingbaijam Sarita, Mamota Yumnam and Kongbrailatpam Rebita will strive to better their performances and bag medals. Besides them, the rest are expected of winning medals and some are current India’s champions and Asian bodybuilding championships medalists.
