Bishwamitra Mayanglambam wins Bengaluru Open MMA Championship 2017, to represent India in World Championship

Mixed martial arts fighter Bishwamitra Mayanglambam from Manipur won Bengaluru Open MMA Championship 2017 and qualified for the upcoming IMMF MMA World Championship 2017.

The former wushu player Bishwamitra won all his 5 fights to become the champion in men’s 52kg straw weight which covers weight range between 106 and 115 lb (48 to 52 kg). The championship was organised by Association of Mixed Martial Arts Karnataka under the aegis of All India Mixed Martial Arts Association.

The youngman from Kakching who played wushu till 2011will now represent India at the IMMF MMA World Championship 2017 which will be held in Bahrain from November 12 to 19, 2017.
